Presentation and discussion on the MARAD Marine Highway Program. The MARAD Marine Highway Program is now officially in place with $7 Million in initial funding. The program has clear implications for our region. This presentation will cover the potential for growth in short sea shipping in our area, the economics involved, and the eventual implementation of projects.

Kevin Mack, Vice President Business Development, Columbia Coastal Transport. Presentation and discussion on the Columbia Coastal Transport’s barge operations. Columbia Coastal has been providing barge service between east coast destinations for many years. This presentation will cover the type of service provided, markets served and the implications of the MARAD Marine Highway Program.
