About Us

The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority or NJTPA is the federally authorized Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the 13-county northern New Jersey region. Each urbanized region of the country is required to establish an MPO in order to qualify for the receipt of federal transportation funding.
