The Freight Initiatives Committee supports the economically vital regional goods movement industry as mandated by federal legislation; establishes a goods movement agenda for truck, rail, air and waterborne commerce in the region; and maintains the region’s prominent position in the global marketplace by recommending strategic transportation investments and policies that ensure a safe and efficient transportation infrastructure for goods movement in the region while helping to reduce congestion.
The committee normally meets every other month, on alternate months from NJTPA Board meetings. Membership is as follows
